Having mastered the fine art of blending the two noble varieties Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in true Méthode Cap Classique tradition, The House of Krone have decided it is time to spoil their loyal followers with a still version of this classic combination of grapes. Celebrate those everyday moments with a bottle of their Krone Chardonnay Pinot Noir 2012.
The House of Krone is located at Twee Jonge Gezellen Estate (TJ) in the picturesque town of Tulbagh in the Cape. Here, generations of the Krone family have dedicated themselves to the creation of Méthode Cap Classique in the finest tradition. Night and early morning harvesting and storage in the unique underground cellar, together with the utmost care and attention in production, have guaranteed benchmark sparkling wines of elegance and complexity. The emphasis has always been on using only the traditional grape varieties used in the production of Champagne – Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Grand occasions have traditionally been celebrated with a glass of sparkling wine from this famous House. But special everyday moments deserve a similar privilege. The House of Krone is proud to announce the launch of a still version for this purpose. As in Cap Classique production, the Chardonnay contributes crisp acidity and elegance whilst the Pinot Noir brings intensity and richness and delicate red berry fruit flavour. Combined in perfect proportions these two noble grapes create a wine which is full of appealing flavour yet remains balanced and refreshing. And to top it all, the wine has an alluring blush of colour making it attractive to both eye and palate.
